A glance at children’s magazines through the ages
What did children use to read and what were the games they used to play? A new exhibition has opened with the support of the Sultanbeyli Municipality that can give you all the answers. The exhibition is called “Evvel Zaman İçinde Çocuk Dergileri” (Children’s Magazines from Long Ago). Running through Dec. 17, the exhibition is displaying the first children’s magazines that were published in Turkey between 1829 and 1928.

Turkish tea aims high
The Turkish tea industry aims to make Turkish tea a world brand by 2023, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, and, to this end, a workshop held last week in Rize, a Turkish province known for its tea, brought representatives from the tea industry together with bureaucrats and officials from the government in a three-day brainstorming session on how to build a world brand.

Sultan Abdülaziz and his statues
